Christine Blaney and Pat Griffin
Christine Blaney is a senior lecturer at Belfast School of Art, Ulster University. She studied Illustration and Design at Ulster University, Central Saint Martins, London, and PGCE Art and Design at Goldsmiths University of London. Exhibitions include: Royal College of Art, London; Macmillan Prize exhibition, and Ulster Museum; RUA, Belfast. Christine's work was selected in 2012 for the Best of British Illustration 'Images' book, Association of Illustrators, Somerset House, London. Christine is a senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has worked on collaborative drawing and animation projects with the HEA, Ulster Museum, Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission, and ophthalmic surgeons using experimental visual approaches to communicate with young audiences.
Pat Griffin is a lecturer at the Belfast School of Art, University of Ulster, Belfast, Northern Ireland. She is particularly interested in exploring approaches to participatory models of narrative and portrait-making. She has experience in photographic work, screenwriting, filmmaking and participatory project development. She holds a BA Hons in Fine Art, MPhil in Media and Film and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
